The Hornfabrik self-develops their horns and operates appropriate basic research, since they are entirely convinced that the sound quality of the horn is incomparable. Over and above this, customized design and individual concepts due to customers request have always been on focus to the Hornfabrik.
In our showrooms we demonstrate music reproduction as if it were live music with a 3-way basic system and a 5-way genuine ultra high-end system, which has reached Hornfabrik`s aim to come as close as possible to the utmost quality of performance with any kind of music. With multi-way hornloudspeakers, frequency ranges are subdivided into several ranges, which are reproduced by drivers that are specifically designed for a particular frequency range.
All hornsystems are manufactured as modular constructions to avoid unnecessary expenses in case of following stages, e.g built up from 3-way to 4-way, which leads to the advantage of higher cost transparency. The horns are built of selected birch multiplex by experienced carpenters, perfectly adjusted in pairs and finished with beeswax. Herewith they offer an extraordinary price-performance ratio.
Bass-cabinets can be built with almost every varnish, finished either with clear lacquer or colourful stain at customers request. The horns of the Hornfabrik are precisely calculated with a wave optimized curvature, where the "bigger ones" are always customized which leads to a production time of approx. 4-6 months. The maximum diameter of wooden horns to be manufactured amounts to 130 cm.
By its optimized curvature in co-operation with a "specialist" driver, these horns feature breathtaking dynamics, filigrane sound reproduction and precise imaging. Thus, distortions are nearly non-existent and dynamic compression does not occur. Whatever makes you finally decide for a Hornfabrik`s product, the hornloudspeakers are always the fruit of a harmonic interaction of all parties being involved to approach maximum sound reproduction.
